i am a decent well mannered respectful person.who just wants people who are just willing to sit down and talk. i am not some nasty minded dirty fiend.....i wouldn't mind chat rooms if people were willing to talk to me without some romantic. or sexual interest in me........the last time i tried to talk in myspace chat room. all i got was people calling me stupid or a moron.......what am i doing wrong or can you suggest a better chat room and where.......thanks for any help you can give.......

NOPE!!!!! even teen chat rooms i used as a kid are aweful. as far as myspace i like and hate. i met a guy who all my friends knew of there and almost got raped. but i like it b/c i keep in touch with a lot of old friends on there

I think that should be the purpose of MySpace, is to just hang out and chat without having the sexual/romantic crap there. I mean, really, I think it's cool that all you want to use MySpace for is friendship.

There doesn't seem to be much of a chance of a platonic relationship in any sort of communal match making site. Best idea I have is start a conversation with someone that works at a small town shop with clientel you enjoy and see if you can get some friendships that way.

well i don't know about them. Maybe you just come accross to talking with the wrong people. Be atleast a person! I mean all people have feelings and most are very addicted to sex. Just go with the flow and you'll find yourself engaging to a lot more interesting talks.

NO!!! hell no.... Myspace is a friend network.... no one goes in the chat rooms, but its mainly for high school kids to have a network on line...but its not a good place to look for anything special...the internet isn't period
