Ok So I Have A Myspace And Im 13 And My Mom Wont Let Me Can Some One Help Me Convince My Mom I Dont Think There Is Anything Wrong With It Like If Some One I Dont Kno Request Me IDONT ACCEPT If Im Not Doing Any Thing Wrong So I Think I should Be Able To Have One!!

Well, My mom had the same problem with myspace, but you dont have to use your real name anywhere, you do not have to put in your school, etc. it can be extremely private if you want it to be. Make your mom be the judge of how private it has to be.

I wouldn't let you either....trust me it's for your best interest.....I'm concerned about the parents of your friends that do have MySpace.....they didn't put enough time into deciding it is a bad idea.

Yeah just have her sit with you and show her how you can set your profile private and no one over 18 can request you as a friend if you check the box and just tell her you will only add your friends and no one else i think if you just show her its OK and safe then she will be OK with it.

There are very sick people out there who would use Myspace as a way to get to young people such as yourself.

Im sure you are smart, but you have to understand that your mom is only trying to protect you. You are still a young person and do not fully understand the dangers of putting your information on the internet. Myspace is public and anyone can see your information that you put on there.

I am not totally bashing Myspace, It is good for keeping in touch with friends and family.

Just try to see it from your mothers point of view, put yourself in her shoes and think how you would feel if you had a young daughter.

I think once she has her mind set, there isnt anything you can say to convince her. Its not that you are doing anything wrong, but she cant control perverts from doing bad things.
